Caged Basics Empty Caged Basics

About Caged

Caged is a friendly group of people who enjoy laid back and casual gaming. How laid back we are really depends on each person of the guild. Some of us play all day because we have nothing better to do, while others who have school, jobs and a life can only get on for so long on certain days. This here post goes with every game Caged plays in. Hard Core Gamers are welcome to be apart of Caged, just remember to not get upset when no one feels like doing raids.

Guild Owner:
Demonskid is the creator and maker of Caged and its mascot Master. She makes the final decision when it comes down to it, but in a way has a counsel of Mini-Leaders to do the talking for her. So if you're ever asking yourself, "Wait.. which one of these two are the leader? That one person hardly talks at all, yet that other person seems to be doing much more and acts more of a Guild Leader." The answer to this is simple. Demonskid, while being the creator, and leader of Caged, she has a hard time with getting her point across at times and it's just easier to have her Mini-Leaders, who are very good at wording things, to do most of the talking.

Mini-Leaders?:
In Caged we have the Guild Owner, and the 'Mini-Leaders' as she likes to call the people who help her out with the political side of of Guild Running. They are somewhat of a Counsel that go through things before taking it to Owner for the final decision. As their title here says, they are small leaders of the guild and when it comes to banning someone for misconduct, their word is as strong as the owners.

Caged Basics Empty Ranks & Recruitment

Post by Caged Master Thu May 30, 2013 4:05 pm

Ranks & Recruitment:

Gaining Ranks:

Innocent - This is what a lot of In Game recruits start as. It is our lowest rank. To move up to Jailbird you have to be a member of the guild for 2 weeks.

Jailbird - This is where most members end up after signing up on the website and making a post in the New Member Center. It is the second lowest rank. To move up to Convict, you need to be a Jailbird for 4 weeks, and also being good contributor to the guild. Helping others out as well. Once this happens you'll move up to Convict.

Convict - Only our most loyal members are here, and its the highest you can be unless you make guild staff. To get here, you need to be a good contributor to the guild. Contribution contains, helping the guild level up, helping out your guild members with dungeons, quests, items/gears. Donating Item Mall money will NOT get you a guild rank. If you are this rank in one game and decide to play another one of the games the guild has their main focus on, you'll be that rank in that game as well. Joining the website also helps get you to Convict

Lock Event - This rank is for those who help with events by providing prizes and running them.

Officer - This rank is for guild staff. It consists of Admins, Super Mods and Mods. To make this, you must apply to become a Mod in Training (MiT). Applying does not guarantee you a staff position. You 'HAVE' to join the website to be an officer.

Warden - The creator of the guild. (Most of the time it's Demonskid)

The way we recruit has changed. From now one we only recruit close friends and their friends at the start, and then do some 'slight' in game recruiting.

Caged Basics Empty In Game Protocol

Post by Caged Master Thu May 30, 2013 4:21 pm

In Game Protocol:

Player vs Player:
It is up to each individual person of this guild to PVP. We do not set it as a priority at all, even if it means to level up the guild and/or gaining guild ranks or gaining points for armor and other items you get from PVP. If our members wish to take part of the guild PVP, they can. Just make a thread a head of time to schedule it so others know the important information. When, Where, and What Time. Gaining Guild Ranks is not important. It's having fun.

Player vs Environment:
Some people like to solo quests, some people like to make teams for quests. Some also make monster grind parties to gain exp faster. Just ask out in raidcall or ask on the forums if anyone wants to make a monster grind party, or wants to do a quest that requires field monsters. There will be plenty of players enjoying that. There are no teams that are set in stone.

Dungeon Runs:
This is also up to each individual. Dungeon runs for quests take highest priority, but if you want gear from the dungeons, you'll have to ask. Be patient for your guild mates to answer and if you can't find a party from the guild, there is no harm in looking for a party outside. Doing just that, often finds the guild some nice helpful members! Also setting up parties on our forums will also help you find some people that is on during the same time you are, don't be afraid to make a thread. Doing the dungeons too many times in one day gets tiresome to a lot of people, and is one cause of game burnouts. There will be members in the guild though, who actually love dungeon raids so I'm sure you'll find some one you need.

Power Leveling:
Sometimes, higher level people enjoy taking their new, lower level guild mates our to a very high level area and power leveling them. That is alright as long as no one gets spoiled by it and expects it to happen every day.

Cash Shop/Item Mall:
This here is up to each individual as well. If someone is able to buy from the cash shop, do not beg them for an item. If you want an item, make a marketing thread in the subforum of the game you play and make sure the item you want is in the title. Those of you who do buy and sell cash shop/item mall items, we at caged hope you will think of your guild mates first and see if they are willing to buy the item from you before you sell it outside of the guild.

Crafting Items for Guild Mates:
As with all other things so far, this depends on each person. If you wish to set up a shop on our forums to sell things you make for other classes, that is perfectly fine, just don't over price. If you wish to make things to help the guild with event prizes, that is also alright. Also you can make stuff just for yourself and leave it at that. It is the peoples choice to give stuff, sell stuff, or keep it for themselves. Don't beg, start drama, or even call others names if they don't comply to your wishes.

Botting:
NO! Flat out no. Unless the game has a 'In Game Bot' Caged does NOT allow botting what so ever. If the Warden or any of the Officers of Caged find out someone is using a Bot, they will be kicked from the guild and reported the group that is hosting the game.

Mini-Member Events:
Some people like to host small events themselves. You do NOT need to be part of staff to make up a small event for your guild mates. If you have an item that people may want but you don't know who to give it to? Host yourself an event. Official Guild Events are there yes, but having unofficial ones run by the members of the guild instead of staff is a nice thing too.

Caged Guild on Other Games:
There are a lot of games out there and Caged only officially plays 2. If you want to make Caged in a game we're not playing you can. Make a thread in the 'Video Games' Section for your game and direct the people of your guild there. When you make the guild in the game you play, Caged expects you to follow the rules and act accordingly as a representative of the guild. IF YOU GET A LOT OF MEMBERS, WE MAY MAKE YOU A SUB FORUM!

Caged Basics Empty Raidcall

Post by Caged Master Thu May 30, 2013 4:22 pm

RaidCall:
RaidCall is NOT a requirement. It is Optional. It is encouraged that you get raid and join us for many reasons. 1: We love talking to people. 2: We host certain events over raid that can only be done on raid, like the Karaoke event. When/if you join raid, you don't need to verbally communicate. You can respond with text in the chat box.

Game Rooms:
If you are in a dungeon party, please move to a un-used party room. If you are not in a party, please do not enter a party room. If it comes to a point where we need more party rooms, we will add them.
If you are in a certain game, stay with that game. If you need a mod or admin, double click their name to bring up the IM system of raidcall.

Side Room:
The side room is for a few uses.
If something is bothering a player, they can be asked to be moved to the side room to talk it out with a staff member.
Also if a player is found acting out on raid or in game, a staff member will move the player down to the side room to chat with them.

Lounge & AFK:
If you aren't playing a game at the moment and just want to chat with others who also aren't playing games, the lounge is where you need to be.
If you are going AFK, please move down to the AFK room and mute both mic and sound.

Caged Basics Empty Warning System

Post by Caged Master Thu May 30, 2013 4:24 pm

Warning System:

Warning Points:
We have a warning system here that is done manually. Don't ask publicly to see how many warning points you have, please Private Massage a staff member.
For lesser charges you can have up to 3 chances, for stronger charges 2 to 0 chances. Once you reach 5 Points, you are kicked from the guild and banned from our website.

Begging: 1 Points
Spamming: 1 Points
Discrimination: 2 Points
Drama: 2 Points
Illegal Content: 3 Points
Harassment: 3 Points
Botting: 5 Points - Auto Ban

If a user continues to break the rules after being warned by staff. The points are increased by 1 point. .
So if you post illegal content, 1 warning gets you 3 points, a second warning you get 4 points. 3+4=7. If you get or go over 5 you get banned.
If you Spam once, 1 warning gets you 1 point, a second warning gets you 2 points. 1+2=3.
It continues to go up 1 point each time you get a warning.

After 3 weeks of not receiving a warning, your Points will be reset to 0 but you will remain on the list.
